Mule's ears (Wyethia amplexicaulis) is a striking Rocky Mountain native with large glossy leaves and bold yellow sunflower-like blooms in late spring. It performs best in well-drained, moderately moist soils in partial shade to full sun and requires little care once established. This long-lived perennial is a wonderful addition to native meadow gardens and wildlife habitats.
