Wooly mule's ears is a low-maintenance native perennial prized for its large, soft, silvery-woolly leaves and cheerful yellow daisy-like flowers in summer. Plant it in well-drained soils with full sun to partial shade, and water sparingly once established as it is adapted to dry to moderately moist conditions. It is an excellent choice for native and xeriscape gardens in the Sierra Nevada and Great Basin regions.
