Araticum, or marolo, is a tropical Brazilian fruit tree from the Cerrado savanna, best grown in full sun to partial shade with well-draining, slightly acidic soil. It is moderately drought tolerant once established and produces large, flavourful fruits used in juices, ice creams, and traditional medicine. Feed with a balanced fertiliser in spring and summer to support healthy fruiting.
