Chilopsis linearis subsp. arcuata

Desert willow is a fast-growing, drought-adapted small tree or large shrub that produces stunning trumpet-shaped flowers beloved by hummingbirds throughout summer. Plant in full sun to partial shade in well-draining soil — it is highly adapted to arid and semi-arid conditions once established and requires minimal supplemental watering. It is an excellent xeriscape choice for hot, dry climates in the Southwest.
