Desert-willow
Chilopsis linearis
Desert-willow is a fast-growing, drought-adapted small tree or large shrub that produces stunning trumpet-shaped pink to purple blooms from spring through fall. Plant it in full sun with very well-drained soil and water deeply but infrequently — it is highly drought tolerant once established and dislikes overwatering. It makes a spectacular focal point in xeriscape, desert, or southwestern-style gardens.
