Sparganium angustifolium
Floating bur-reed is an aquatic perennial that grows in shallow ponds, slow streams, and lake margins with its strap-like leaves often floating on the water surface. It requires permanently wet or submerged conditions and full sun to partial shade, making it ideal for wildlife ponds and bog gardens. Its burr-like seed heads provide food for waterfowl and other birds throughout autumn.
