Iva frutescens subsp. frutescens

Marsh elder thrives in moist, coastal and salt-marsh environments along the eastern and gulf coasts of North America. Plant in partial shade with consistently moist soil, and it will establish readily with minimal intervention. This tough native shrub requires little supplemental care once established in an appropriate habitat.
