Cistus monspeliensis thrives in full sun to partial shade and is well-suited to hot, dry Mediterranean-style gardens with well-draining, poor soils. Water sparingly once established, as overwatering is the most common cause of decline. It requires minimal pruning and is an excellent choice for low-maintenance xeriscaping.
