🌱 Beginner Friendly
Ulex parviflorus, a small-flowered gorse, is a tough Mediterranean shrub that performs best in full sun with well-drained, even poor soils. Once established it is highly drought-tolerant and requires very little supplemental watering. Prune lightly after flowering to maintain a compact shape, but wear gloves as the spines are sharp.
