Marsh daisy

Armeria maritima, or sea thrift, is a tough coastal perennial that forms compact grass-like mounds topped with cheerful pink to white pompom flowers in spring and early summer. It thrives in full sun with excellent drainage and is highly tolerant of salt spray, poor soils, and mild drought once established. Deadhead spent flowers to encourage a second flush of blooms and divide clumps every 3–4 years to maintain vigour.
