Pyramid orchid
Anacamptis pyramidalis
The Pyramid Orchid is a terrestrial European wildflower that requires very specific growing conditions, including chalky or limestone-rich, well-drained soil with a mycorrhizal fungal relationship to thrive. It performs best outdoors in a meadow or rock garden setting with partial to full sun and is not suitable for conventional pot culture. This orchid is best appreciated as a garden specimen in naturalistic plantings rather than as a houseplant.
