Armeria maritima subsp. purpurea

Purple sea thrift is a tough, compact perennial that thrives in well-drained, gritty or sandy soils with moderate moisture. Plant it in a partially shaded to sunny spot and water regularly but avoid waterlogging, as it dislikes heavy, wet soils. Deadhead spent flower stems to encourage a second flush of its charming globe-shaped blooms.
